All our products are tested and approved by Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS). The TBS approval can be seen in the form of TBS logo on the top of each crown of our products.

We follow strict quality control procedures during the manufacturing and filling of our packages. Each bottle undergoes a thorough mechanized bottle washing process followed by inspection and testing process and is quickly filled through a high-speed, state-of-the-art process that helps prevent any foreign material from entering the product. Additional Quality Control measures help to ensure the integrity of Pepsi-Cola products throughout the distribution process, from warehouse to store shelf.

Water is a key ingredient in all soft drinks. SBC takes special care to purify the water it uses - a procedure that involves careful treatment, filtration and purification. Pepsi standards are precise and closely monitored at every step of the process. The result of this kind of painstaking attention to detail is that the water used in Pepsi-Cola and all of our beverages is among the purest available anywhere.

Quality control audits performed by specially trained technicians are a critical part of the manufacturing sequence for each batch, and are typical of the attention to detail that's necessary if the highest possible quality standards are to be maintained. Cleanliness is also vital, so all internal and external surfaces of the production system, including syrup lines, proportioning, cooling and carbonating equipment, are meticulously sanitized.

New automated Computer controlled equipment
 
Laboratory at Dar Plant has a new automated Computer controlled equipment to calculate the Dissolved Carbon Di oxide and Air content in beverages and also sugar percent at very accurate levels. This equipment will bring out improved testing accuracy and automated reporting and statistical Analysis of process variability.This will eventually go to improved product quality.
 
 
 
 
 
 
  In addition to strict Quality Control procedures and audits followed in-house at all our manufacturing locations, our Quality Control Department staff also periodically visit the market place and collect samples of our filled products and bring into our QC Lab to check for all Product Specifications. During their market visit the QC staff also train the retailers/stockists to effectively follow FIFO (First in First Out) to ensure that fresh products are served to the consumers.

Besides our Internal Trade Sampling and subsequent Quality checks our Franchiser, PepsiCo International (PI) also do product sampling from all our markets in Tanzania on a monthly basis. These products are tested for all key specifications and then the results are communicated to us in the form of a Monthly Quality Rating.
