Launch Of Mountain Dew
SBC Tanzania launched the exciting drink Mountain Dew from the PepsiCo stable in Dar Es Salaam Market in May 2010.
- The product launch was supported using a 360° campaign involving Radio/TV/Press and Outdoor.
- Specially designed Road show vehicles were used for Mountain Dew which created tremendous excitement and buzz among the consumers.
Attractive POS materials were used as a part of the launch and the company gave away 10 Mountain Bikes to its customers based on a lucky draw.
- As Part of the promotion, a sampling drive was undertaken throughout the city in which nearly 300,000 consumers had the chance to taste the exciting new drink. Teams of bikers and skaters could be found in various parts of the city performing tricks and inviting the consumers to TASTE THE DEW.
Kick a Goal Win a Ball
SBC Tanzania Limited ran a consumer reward programme called 'Kick a Goal Win a Ball' during the months of May, June and July 2010.
- With the World Cup Soccer due to begin the city was gripped with football fever. This competition allowed our customers to join the Africa celebration.
- The mechanics of the game were simple. The consumers had to shoot a football through a specially created goal to win a football or other goodies that were on offer.
- All across the country people were seen queuing up to take part in the event.
Consumers of all age groups were seen trying to win the ball.
- The participation exceeded all expectations as nearly 5,000 footballs and over 7,500 T-Shirts were given away as prizes to the participants.
